Ava Lambert is a self-taught artist, born and based in Minneapolis. While her primary medium is oil painting, she has significant experience in a variety of other mediums including acrylic, watercolor, ink, pencil, and sculpture. Lambert acquires inspiration from her surroundings, taking her own reference photos and reinterpreting them on canvas. Her detailed paintings often include everyday objects and overlooked scenes or subject matter. She is drawn to elements of nature and modern landscapes, highlighting the interaction between man-made structures and the environment. In addition to her studio practice, Lambert frequently accepts commissions and provides illustration work for select design and stationery companies.

Her most recent accomplishments include a first-place award at the Parklane Gallery 2023 Winter Show as well as honorable mention awards at the 36th annual Chelsea International Fine Art Competition and the 2023 Northeast Fine Arts Exhibition.
