PROJECT #WALKART
In April 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and newly imposed stay-at-home order, I sought to continue bringing art into the lives of others. With many galleries and festivals closed for the foreseeable future, the #WalkArt project conveniently brought detailed fine art right to the viewer. The paintings, done on rocks and logs, were placed alongside walking trails at the original location of the painted scene, introducing an element of interaction between the viewer, art, and their surroundings. By including my social media handle onto the paintings, I was able to still interact with the public, discuss art, exchange stories, and most inspiring of all, hear the positive effect the walk art had on others during these uncertain times.
